Privacy Policy for UMC Applications

This Privacy Policy describes how UMC collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use any of our mobile applications and related services (collectively, the "Apps"). By installing, accessing, or using any UMC App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all UMC mobile applications published under our developer account on Google Play and any related web services or APIs that those Apps connect to.

This Policy does not apply to third‑party websites, services, or applications that may be linked from our Apps.

Types of Data We Collect

Depending on the specific UMC App and your role (for example, sales representative, delivery staff, manager, or external customer), we may collect and process the following types of information:

Account & Profile Information

Name, username, employee ID, job title, email address, phone number, and company/branch/department information.

Business & Transaction Data

Sales orders, delivery orders, payment or collection requests (record information only). Customer records such as contact details, assigned routes/segments, visit history and notes, where applicable.

Usage & Device Information

Device identifiers (model, OS version), app version, IP address, timestamps, log files and diagnostic information used for security, support and troubleshooting.

Location Data (if enabled)

Approximate or precise location used to assign visits, track delivery routes, or validate on‑site visits. Location collection will only occur if the relevant App feature requires it and you have granted the necessary permissions.

Support & Communication Data

Information you provide when you contact us or your company's support team, such as emails, messages and attachments.

Business & Transaction Data
Typically 5–10 years depending on local legal requirements for accounting, tax and audit obligations.
Logs & Technical Data
Up to 12–24 months for security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized.
Location Data
Retained only for as long as needed for the operational purpose, then deleted or anonymized per your organization's internal policies.

Account and Data Deletion

If a specific UMC App allows you to create or manage an account, that App or an associated web page will provide a way to request deletion of your account and associated data, in line with Google Play's User Data and account deletion requirements.

When we delete an account upon a valid request, we also delete or anonymize the personal data associated with that account, except where we must retain some data for legitimate reasons such as security, fraud prevention, or compliance with legal, tax or audit obligations.

If only partial data deletion is requested (for example, specific activity history), we will explain which data can be deleted and which must be retained and for how long.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access.

These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting environments, regular backups, and logging. However, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

UMC Apps are generally designed for use by adults in a business context and are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data through one of our Apps, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as reasonably possible.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Apps, business practices, or legal requirements.
